Why it's hard to find where a reel was filmed

Travel and food reels rarely tag the place. The name is said once, flashes up as a sticker, or sits halfway down a long caption — and the location tag, when there is one, often says just the country. Comments asking “where is this?” pile up without an answer.

How the location finder works

1. It listens. The audio is transcribed, so “we're at Pastéis de Belém” counts even if it's never written.
2. It reads. Place names in stickers, captions and signs visible in the video are read from the frames.
3. It checks the caption. Location tags, hashtags and the caption text are included.
4. It puts it together. The model names the destination, lists each place with what kind of place it is, and keeps the tips the creator gave.

What it can't do

The location finder reports places that the reel names or clearly shows. It doesn't guess a location from the scenery alone or track where a video was uploaded from. If a reel never names its location anywhere, the result will say so rather than invent one.
